Megan Blackmon

Megan is the Director of Projects for the Lancaster Clean Water Partners. In her role, she serves as the project lead for collaborative projects and programs including the delisting strategy and the Clean Water Fund. She helps to pair funding sources, refine processes, and facilitate partners to more efficiently implement conservation practices. She also strengthens and coordinates the tracking, management, and reporting aspects of multiple grants that support the Partners.

Previously, Megan had been the Grant Administrator for the City of Lancaster where she worked with city departments and community organizations to successfully obtain and manage over $25 million for an array of projects. She also worked on City initiatives such as the Welcoming City designation and the Municipal Climate Action Plan. Before that, she was the Watershed Specialist for the Dauphin County Conservation District and worked on projects and outreach for the Schuylkill Headwaters Association. She served two terms as an AmeriCorps VISTA with the Schuylkill Conservation District to build the capacity of watershed groups in the county. 

She has a B.S. in Environmental Studies from UNC Asheville and a Masters of Environmental Pollution Control from Penn State Harrisburg. Megan lives in Lancaster City with her husband, two little kids, and two dogs. For fun, she likes to hike, camp, kayak, or splash in creeks.
