Calling all designers and creatives!

The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay will celebrate its 20th annual Chesapeake Watershed Forum at the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) in Shepherdstown, WV, on November 7-9, 2025.

The planning committee is hosting a t-shirt design contest to celebrate! The winning t-shirt design will be printed and available for purchase during registration for the event.

They are looking for t-shirt designs that reflect what clean water means to you, the spirit of the environmental community, or your experience at the Watershed Forum. Let your artwork celebrate the vibrant ecosystems, diverse wildlife, and powerful connections between people and the lands and waters they cherish. Your design should capture your heart in the Chesapeake Bay watershed and the shared hope for a cleaner, healthier future.

Submissions are due Monday, July 14 at 11:59 PM EST.

CBLP Level 1 Instructor RFQ Highlights:
We are looking to identify and train 2–4 new instructors to teach our CBLP Level 1 certification courses across the watershed, with priority given to candidates based in or willing to travel to:

  • Pennsylvania

  • Central, Northern, and Western Virginia

  • Delaware

Note: We are not seeking additional instructors in Eastern VA/Hampton Roads at this time.

Applicants should be CBLP Level 1-certified or willing to obtain certification prior to teaching. Strong candidates will have experience in conservation landscaping, stormwater BMPs, and leading or instructing groups.

 Submissions are due by 5 pm,  July 25

CBLP-CREWS Instructor RFQ Highlights:
We are also seeking 2–4 new instructors for CBLP-CREWS, a workforce training program. We are especially interested in candidates who are fluent in Spanish and comfortable teaching in either English or Spanish.

Target instruction areas include:

  • Virginia

  • Washington, DC

  • Pennsylvania

  • Delaware

Applicants should have completed or be willing to complete the CBLP-CREWS or Level 1 course. Experience with BMPs, conservation landscaping, and workforce training is a plus.

The Nature Conservancy Pennsylvania & Delaware Chapter is seeking qualified contractors to provide services for a Stream, Floodplain, and Wetland Restoration Project on Little Cocalico Creek located in East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County. The restoration project has a fast-paced timeline, with construction completion scheduled for February 15, 2026.

The selected contractor will be responsible for obtaining, as necessary, any remaining permits; overseeing and documenting the construction process; supporting a sealed bidding process; revegetating the site with native species; pre- to post-construction reporting; and completing annual maintenance and monitoring. Details regarding the project, including supplemental project information, planning sheets, and funder and federal guidelines, are provided in the full Request for Quotes. Proposal documents can be obtained at no cost on PennBid at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/.
