This meeting will highlight:

Growing Greener Plus and Section 319 Nonpoint Source Management grant programs will open Wednesday, April 22nd; applications are due Monday June 22nd at 4pm.

The purpose of Growing Greener is to restore Pennsylvania’s impaired waters and protect waterways from nonpoint source pollution. For this grant round, the priorities are: BMP implementation (design, permitting and construction); Technical Assistance projects, featuring public-private partnerships, that expedite BMP implementation; Agriculture erosion and sediment control or nutrient and manure management plans; Stream, wetland and floodplain restoration projects that improve water quality and reduce flooding; Priority projects located in and directly benefitting EJ Areas. Maximum project cost is $500,000.

The Section 319(h) Nonpoint Source Management funding project categories include BMP implementation as identified in an existing Section 319 WIP, Section 319 Revisions or updates to existing WIPs that are at least eight years old, Tier III Monitoring within 319 WIP Watersheds, TMDL/ARP watersheds and other impaired waters conducted by qualified collectors generating assessment level data according to DEP standard and Stateside or Regional projects addressing nonpoint source pollution to restore or protect water quality may be considered if funding remains.

The Partners and LCCD will be providing general updates to the Countywide Action Plan program, including new funding rounds and anticipated timelines.
